Welcome Back Gators!!
As we head into the 2010/2011 winter swim season, I wanted to take a minute and say thank you. The 2010 summer season was a huge success for the Gators. The coaching staff and your swimmers would not have achieved those accomplishments without your support.
The coaching staff is proud to work side by side with you at our hosted meets, which continue to be one of the best in the league. The Gators consistently have to turn teams away because of the popularity for our home meets. I receive compliments during and after every meet at GYG. Please accept my appreciation for everything you do. The Swimmers in the pool can’t do it without you!
The registration for the 2010-2011 swim season is underway. You can pickup a copy of the swim schedule along with your registration package at the front deck of the YMCA. There is also a copy on the website. Please remember that swimmers will need to compete in two events to compete at the league championship. And there is a new format for the regular meets this year. The league has added the 200 butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke. The 400 IM and the 500 free, 1650 free. Please mark the Morning of August 28, 2010 for our parents meeting. The meeting starts at 9am. I have a short video to show and will go over more of the new changes to the league meet event formats. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the pool deck.
